Unicorn Legends Dominate Red Dragons Region

Unicorn Legends Dominate Red Dragons Region

Week 10 across the Wizard Redraft League was defined by razor-thin finishes, low-scoring grinders, and lineups feeling the sting of one of the season’s most brutal bye week stretch. Some teams found a way to grind out wins despite holes in their rosters — others weren’t so lucky. Depth, it seems, is becoming the difference between contenders and pretenders.

Loch Ness Region: Calm Waters, Cold Results

In the quiet depths of Loch Ness, Totally Turtley cruised past the Horny Toads 130–85. It wasn’t a particularly dramatic matchup, but it was telling — the Horny Toads posted the lowest score in the region and one of the lowest across the entire WRL this week. While Totally Turtley stayed steady, the Toads’ lineup, hit hard by byes and thin depth, could only tread water for so long.

Red Dragons Region: Unicorn Legends Unleash Fire

In a week full of sluggish scores, the Unicorn Legends reminded everyone what elite looks like. Their 181–118 takedown of the Bearcats wasn’t just the highest total in the region — it was the third highest across the league. Their dominance set the pace in the Red Dragons Region, where other teams struggled to keep the scoreboard moving. The Legends’ depth and consistency were on full display, proving that even in a bye-heavy week, preparation beats panic.

Cerberus Region: Close Calls and Narrow Escapes

The Cerberus Region brought the drama. The Trolly Potters edged Calvary by just 1.46 points in a 140.06–138.60 nail-biter — though Calvary’s decision to leave two bye-week players in the starting lineup likely sealed their fate. But the real heart-stopper came between the Boss Hoggs and McCrackens, where the Boss Hoggs finally grabbed their first win of the season by a margin of only .92 points (121.44–120.52). In both games, incomplete lineups told part of the story — proof that even the smallest oversight can change everything on Sunday.

Krakens Region: Ugly Wins and Bye-Week Blues

If Week 10 had a theme song, the Krakens Region would’ve written it. The Bacchanalians walked away with the “Ugly Win of the Week,” taking down the Rum Runners 95.04–71.14. Neither team had much to celebrate offensively, and both lineups were riddled with empty spots due to byes and thin benches. The Rum Runners’ 71 points marked the third-lowest total of the WRL season — a fitting exclamation point on a week where available players were in short supply and fantasy fortunes turned ugly fast.

Final Word

Week 10 won’t go down as the WRL’s most explosive, but it might be one of its most revealing. The Unicorn Legends soared while others stumbled, the Boss Hoggs finally broke through, and across all four regions, depth (or lack thereof) separated the serious contenders from those just trying to survive the schedule.

As the regular season tightens, the margin for error — like many of this week’s final scores — is getting slimmer by the day.
