Week 8 in the Wizard Redraft League delivered everything from record-setting highs to razor-thin finishes. With just a handful of weeks left before the playoff push, the line between contender and pretender continues to blur.

Red Dragons Region

The week’s most explosive showing came from Turd Ferguson, who unleashed 190.68 points, the highest total across the entire WRL in Week 8. Their dominant win over CHAOS (190–124) reaffirmed their offensive firepower and vaulted them back into the playoff spotlight.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, in the Cerberus Region, the McCrakens stumbled to just 63 points, marking the lowest scoring output of the season by any team other than Wagyu’s Week 1 no-show.

Cerberus Region

The Monarchs took center stage this week, racking up 187 points in a convincing win over Groot (134) — the highest total in the region. Meanwhile, the Boss Hoggs continue to search for their first win of the season after falling 122–113 to the Trolly Potters.

The Game of the Week in Cerberus belonged to Tonawanda Lumbermen and Gridiron Grinders, who battled to one of the tightest finishes of the year. Thanks to a 28-point Monday night performance by Rashee Rice, the Lumbermen squeaked out a 152.40–149.54 win — a margin of just 2.86 points.

Loch Ness Region

If the Lumbermen’s finish was thrilling, the Terrifiers managed to top it. Their 147.46–144.98 victory over Brady Sits Down to #1 came down to 2.48 points — the closest game in the WRL this week. The win keeps the Terrifiers riding high at 7–1 and locked in that statistical dead heat with the Mad Scientist.

After eight weeks of action, the Mad Scientist and Terrifiers are not only tied at 7–1, but also identically matched in total points scored with 1,251.98 apiece. The Mad Scientist currently hold the tiebreaker thanks to their Week 1 head-to-head win, but the margin couldn’t be slimmer heading into the home stretch.

Krakens Region

Over in the Krakens Region, the defending 2023 WRL Champion Lunatics reminded everyone why they still belong in the contender conversation. Their 173–133 win over the Bacchanalians wasn’t just decisive — it was the region’s top-scoring performance of the week, signaling the former champs may be heating up at the right time.
