Week 7 Power Rankings: The Chase Is On

Week 7 Power Rankings: The Chase Is On

Seven weeks in, the Maniax are still running the show — but the pack behind them is starting to snarl. The Ohio River Monsters and Unicorn Legends are keeping the pressure on, while the Terrifiers have officially gone from middle-of-the-pack to Top 10 terror. The top dogs haven’t fallen, but the ground beneath them is starting to shake.

1. Maniax (—)
Still the standard, still on top. The Maniax handled business once again, topping the Coolidge Scorpions 171–139 and improving their Power Ranking from .958 to .969. The only thing tighter than their grip on the No. 1 spot might be their margin for error — which remains razor thin.

2. THE Ohio River Monsters (↑ from 3)
The Monsters are on the move. A 195–128 statement win over Wagyu launched them into the No. 2 spot, and it’s clear this team isn’t satisfied with just chasing the Maniax — they’re coming for them.

3. Unicorn Legends (↓ from 2)
A win’s a win, but sometimes the math just doesn’t care. Despite a solid 185–159 victory over The Lone Rangers, the Unicorn Legends slip one spot thanks to the Monsters’ surge. Still, they’re very much in the championship conversation.

4. Music City Miracles (↑ from 6)
Turn up the volume in Nashville. The Miracles blasted the War Birds 203–135 and continue to look like a team heating up at just the right time. If the top three blink, they’ll be ready to pounce.

5. Monarchs (—)
The Monarchs hold steady at No. 5 after another businesslike week. They haven’t had a flashy stretch lately, but that kind of quiet consistency is how crowns are kept polished.

6. Lunatics (↑ from 8)
The 2023 champs just reminded everyone why they once ruled the WRL. Their 204–181 win over last year’s champion, Teds Lasso, wasn’t just another victory — it was a message: the Lunatics are back in the conversation.

7. Terrifiers (↑ from 15)
From the shadows to the spotlight. After dropping a league-best 218 points on the NY Jackets, the Terrifiers storm into the Top 10. If they can sustain even half that firepower, they might not stop climbing anytime soon.

8. Mad Scientist (↓ from 7)
A small slip in the numbers, but no real concern. The Scientist did what they had to do, winning 137–119 over Brady Sits Down to #1. Not every week has to be an explosion — sometimes the lab just hums.

9. Virginia Blackbeards (↑ from 12)
The Blackbeards plundered their way up the rankings this week, demolishing the Rum Runners 185–101. This crew might’ve found their rhythm, and that’s bad news for anyone sailing in their waters.

10. CHAOS (—)
For the third straight week, CHAOS sits at No. 10 — but that’s not a knock. They’ve found stability in a season where very few teams have. One big week could launch them right back into the thick of the title chase.

Week 8 Outlook

The headline matchup might be Maniax (1) vs. Lucky Ass Ferg (17), but all eyes should be on Unicorn Legends (3) vs. Epidemic Elephants (11) — a clash that could send shockwaves through the Power Rankings. The Terrifiers’ newfound momentum and the Lunatics’ resurgence also make Week 8 one to watch.

The Maniax might still rule the WRL, but the league’s getting louder — and the chase is on.
