The Epidemic Elephants are quickly becoming the story of the Wizard Redraft League, putting up back-to-back weeks as the league’s top scorer and holding firmly onto the No. 1 spot in the Power Rankings.
Week 3 of the WRL saw fewer nail-biters than usual, but it still delivered plenty of intrigue. The closest contest of the week came in the Cerberus Region, where Lucky Ass Ferg edged out the Tonawanda Lumbermen by less than a point, 139.78–138.80, in a finish that came down to the wire.
But once again, the spotlight belonged to the Epidemic Elephants. The Red Dragons powerhouse rolled past the Wildcats 182–156, notching the highest score in the league for the second straight week. With that, the Elephants improved their Power Ranking to an impressive .976 and further solidified their place as the team to beat.
Not everyone enjoyed such success. The Lewisville Sluggers struggled through the lowest output of Week 3, managing just 89 points in a loss to the 2023 champion Lunatics, who cruised to a 138–89 victory.
For the Power Rankings, the top two teams held steady: the Elephants at No. 1 and the Maniax at No. 2. The Mantis Mayhem continued their climb, moving into the third spot, while the Music City Miracles surged four places up to No. 4. Despite winning, the Gridiron Grinders slid to No. 5.

Week 4 Preview:
All eyes will be on the Red Dragons Region as the undefeated Epidemic Elephants face their toughest test yet against No. 10 undefeated Turd Ferguson. With both teams off to hot starts, this matchup has all the makings of a statement game early in the season. If the Elephants can extend their stampede with another high-powered performance, they’ll only further cement their dominance atop the WRL.
