The stage is officially set for the 2025 Alliance Professional Baseball League World Series. The Texas Rangers and New York Yankees punched their tickets to the championship round after impressive semifinal victories in Week 24.
The Rangers survived a thriller against the Los Angeles Angels, edging out a 291–284 win in one of the tightest postseason battles in league history. With the victory, Texas secured the National League crown and will make its first appearance in the APBL’s championship series.
On the American League side, the Yankees left little doubt in their semifinal matchup, dominating the Detroit Tigers 329–230. New York’s decisive win cements their place as the league’s top contender and sets up a clash of heavyweights in the title round.
The World Series showdown between the Rangers and Yankees will not be the first time these two teams meet this season. Back in Week 13 of the regular season, Texas took the upper hand with a 324–274 victory. Now, the stakes couldn’t be higher as the rematch will decide the APBL champion.
No matter the outcome, one thing is certain—the APBL will crown a new champion in its second year of competition.
