2. New York Yankees (.940) – Breathing Down Their Neck
The Yankees remind everyone why they’ve been a top contender all year. Despite sitting in second, their margin behind the Rangers is razor thin. If these two teams collide in the postseason, it’s shaping up to be a heavyweight battle.
3. Los Angeles Angels (.845) – Holding Steady
The Angels remain planted in third, showing consistency in both their roster and results. They’re not quite at the level of the Rangers and Yankees, but they’re lurking, waiting for their shot to pounce in October.
4. Detroit Tigers (.714) – Making Their Move
The Tigers have surged back into the conversation, climbing from sixth to fourth. Their balanced attack and strong finish in Week 20 could not have come at a better time, as they fight tooth and nail with the Yankees for AL supremacy.
5. Chicago Cubs (.690) – Playing Spoiler and Rising Fast

The Reds take a hit, falling from fourth to sixth. Tied with the Cubs in Power Rating, they’ll need to bounce back quickly as the Angels and Braves loom large in the playoff race.
7. Atlanta Braves (.643) – The Wrong Kind of Streak
Three straight losses have sent the Braves tumbling from fifth to seventh. The talent is there, but the timing couldn’t be worse. If they don’t course-correct soon, their playoff hopes could fade fast.
