This year, the Wizard Redraft League unveils its most ambitious structural evolution yet: a new way to divide the battlefield. Gone are the days of geographical placements. In 2025, the WRL introduces The Wheel of Regional Power, a live selection event.

Imagine a plane — not just any plane, but a 48-seat vessel bound for fantasy glory. Each seat represents a unique place in the league’s structure. Every group of 12 forms a Region. Within each Region, teams are broken down into three Divisions of four. This isn’t just window dressing. The entire season’s schedule will hinge on this seating map.

* You play everyone in your Division twice.

* You face the rest of your Region once.

* Your flight path sets your fate.

But here’s the twist: you choose your seat, if you're bold enough to be there when your name is called.

Forty-eight General Managers. One mystical wheel.

Names are spun live, one by one, on a digital wheel with 48 cogs. When your name hits — you get to pick any open seat on the plane. Want to sit at Seat 1 and anchor Region One? Go ahead. Prefer to build a gauntlet in the final Region? That’s your call. But if you miss the live stream, your fate will be sealed — you’ll be randomly assigned a remaining seat.

The Wheel of Regional Power will spin live on YouTube on 26 April, and all GMs are encouraged to be there in real-time. This is your chance to carve your path, influence your season, and shape the culture of your Region from the very start.
