Some of the best additions to the Fantasy Sports Alliance don’t just strengthen competition—they strengthen the community. Eric Talbot is exactly that kind of addition.
A lifelong New York resident who grew up in Salamanca, Eric joined FSA in 2020 during a time when many were looking for connection. What started as a simple interaction on Twitter with Commissioner Brian Buschor has since grown into a meaningful place within the league—one built on competition, conversation, and community.
By profession, Eric serves as a PK–12 Principal, bringing leadership, structure, and a steady presence to everything he does. That same approach carries over into his passion for sports. A lifelong Chicago Cubs fan in a household full of Yankees supporters, Eric blends a deep appreciation for the game with a natural curiosity for the numbers behind it. He’s quick to admit he’s a stats-driven fan—but also one who values the stories behind the players just as much.
His playing career may have peaked with a perfectly executed hidden ball trick—though, as he puts it, he “couldn’t hit a breaking pitch to save my life”—but his love for the game never faded.
Now, Eric takes the next step by joining FSA as the league’s first outside Contributing Writer, covering the APBL. His goal is simple: inform, spark conversation, and enhance the experience for a community he already calls home.
“When Eric asked if he could write for FSA, I didn’t hesitate in the slightest,” said Commissioner Brian Buschor. “Eric has a professional background and a love for sports that I knew would present itself in his writing. I am glad to have him on board.”
Eric himself put it best: “I’m thrilled to be writing for the best fantasy community there is, the FSA!”
We’re just getting started—and we’re excited to have him with us.
